Fresh-Squeezed Honey Mint Lemonade

There is nothing like 90 degrees to make me crave an ice-cold beverage from a sweet tea to a coffee frappucino. Taking my pup for a walk, I see multitudes of ten-year-old entrepreneurs hosting their lemonade stands for a summer buck, igniting a lemonade craving. In an effort to satiate my sweet tooth without drinking my day’s calories in a powdered drink mix, I have been sipping some homemade Honey Mint Lemonade.

Recipe for Fresh-Squeezed Honey Mint Lemonade

It only takes about three minutes to mix up a carafe of refreshing Honey Mint Lemonade (containing many ingredients that are useful to detox the body!).

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 lemon(s)
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 4 sprigs of fresh mint
  • 1 carafe of water

Directions:

  1. Wash, quarter, and de-seed the lemon(s) to add the juice from the lemon to the carafe (or pitcher).
  2. Fill the carafe with cold water.
  3. Mix in the leaves of fresh mint (about 4 sprigs) and the spoonfuls of honey (about 2 tablespoons) to taste.
  4. Pour yourself a glass and enjoy the summer.

Cheers!
